NOT CANCELLED! We are locked and loaded and more Italo-powered than before. People Don't Dance No More takes over the big room at Studio B in Brooklyn on Friday night. Thanks to some fortunate (and unfortunate) events this week we are happy to be making our Studio B debut with Dan Selzer and friends in tow. Spread the word: ITS A FREE DISCO!

I love the song "Flex" by my boy Dizzee Rascal. Heck, basically all of Maths and English was flippin' ill. I couldn't get enough of it when it first dropped, and I still can't. Fire.And now the track is a featured single with a video. The concept behind the whole gig boasts an American Idol theme. Minus the "American" part, that is. U.K. baby! Dizzee is both a judge and a performer, and he tears it up (if you can believe that). Otherwise we have flashy dancing chicks and goofy chaps. Heck, there's even a lil' tyke runnin' 'bout the studio. When we're not goin' through the T.V. show motions, it's just a straight hip-hop video: partying people, good lookin' girls, cars, etc. Gotta love them Brits.P.S. I'm goin' down to Boston (Harvard, yo) for the evening. Peace out, day!

It's a good thing that someone invented the blog so I can tell you about Link Wray, essentially an electric guitar genius. He's got some intense distorted sounds that are worth listening to, over and over again, in complete admiration. Think: Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Dick Dale- except maybe cooler. He was the first to really poineer overdrive and fuzz distortions with the electric guitar; so when someone refers to something as gritty 60's they're probably referring to Link without realizing it. Also the first to use the power chord. Impressive. No vocals in his first album with the Raymen. Who cares. As you may have guessed from a quick look at any of our flyers we’re big fight fans at Hot Sauce, from boxing to wrestling we appreciate all the sweet sciences, though I have to admit above all others Lucha Libre holds a special place in my heart. Saul Williams on his new record, created in collaboration with Trent Reznor is following a similar release to Radiohead. It’s due out on November 1st, and you can choose to pay nothing and get the album as 192 kbps MP3s, or pay $5 and get 320 kbps MP3s or lossless FLAC files.

Needless to say, they never did get one more.The CMJ show at Studio B w/ Mstrkrft/Z-trip was probably even crazier. And that is when I noticed that I am somewhat living the life of a rapper.
